  What is VOC

  VOCs are volatile organic compounds that are active and can cause harm. These volatile compounds are organic compounds. They can exist as vapor in the air at room temperature.   VOC testing is divided into three standards: European standard, national standard, French/German standard.

  European standard volatile phenol test steps:

  1.Sample extraction: 1*1cm in the French standard, 1*2cm in the German standard, about 10g of the sample, putthe sample into the dryer to dry for 48 hours and weigh (A value)

  2.Then put the sample into a 200±5℃ oven for 4 hours, and then dry in a dryer for 4 hours, and extract the sample for weighing (weight B value).

  3.VOC content calculation : (A-B)/A*100%

    National standard volatile phenol test steps:

  1. Sample 1*1cm (about 10g) was extracted and put into A dryer to dry for 48 hours before weighing (A value);

  2.Then put the sample into a 200±5℃ oven for 4 hours, and then dry in a dryer for 2 hours, and extract the sample for weighing (B value).

  3. VOC content calculation : (A-B)/A*100%

  Each product is sampled three sets of data, the average VOC of each set of data is lower than 0.40%, and the test result of any sample is higher than 0.40%, the batch of products are unqualified products.
